Damminix Tick Tubes Damminix Tick Tubes reduce exposure to Lyme disease by more than 90% by killing deer ticks before they spread the disease to you or your pets. Deer ticks get Lyme disease when they feed on mice in the spring and summer. Damminix is biodegradable cardboard tubes filled with permethrin treated cotton. Tubes are placed in your yard's mouse habitat - brush, ground covers, stone walls, woodpiles. Mice collect the cotton and through nesting, the permethrin is transferred to their fur. When ticks feed on mice, they are exposed to the permethrin and killed on contact.
